Treatment + Approaches
I am passionate about helping clients reconnect with themselves and move forward from trauma or hurtful relationships with a sense of strength, self-confidence, and healthy coping skills.
I work with individuals (ages 12+), couples, and families who are healing from a harmful event or relationship, struggling with a sense of self and satisfaction, or want to gain insight into themselves and their relationships.
Together we can work toward more self-awareness, satisfaction, and stronger communication skills while decreasing the negative effects of stress and conflict.
I work with trauma survivors and anxiety-based disorders:
PTSD
Generalized Anxiety Disorder
Eating disorders
OCD and OCPD
Approaches I use include:
Psychodynamic,
Internal Family Systems (IFS),
Emotion Focused Therapy (EFT),
DBT and Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP)
and trauma-informed somatic.
Therapy should be customized based on the needs, learning styles, cultural considerations, and goals of each client. I advocate for physical and emotional awareness and the importance of honoring your unique experiences.
Additional Info
In addition to my therapy private practice, I have a corporate career in communications and digital strategy. I draw on my experience working in large, publicly-traded companies to support clients with issues related to their careers and work stress.
I am also passionate about community and giving back. I currently sit on the boards of the Sacramento Valley chapter of the California Association of Marriage and Family Therapists, and on the Alumnae Board at Saint Francis High School here in Sacramento.
